Great Backup When it Matters February 16, 2010

I've had a few back-up battery packs and jump starters in the past. So far this one has been the best one.
I used it for multiple jump starts months apart and about a month later a snow storm hit taking the power out for 3 days. Showing only 3/4 of a charge left I was still able to charge my cell phone, run my notebook computer to watch DVD's, etc. and listen to my am/fm shortwave radio with weather alerts. All this for 2-3 days after multiple jump starts. (Note: it does say in the manual to charge about once a month)
I consider it very reasonable size for the features. It is able to fit easily under a truck seat unlike many monoliths I've had and have seen.
I also like the push to check battery status indicator.
I had to search for one that could jump a V8. Apparently a lot of the jump starters can't jump trucks or cars with V8 enginges.
It has a great air compressor compared to the wimpy ones I've had in the past.

This portable jump starter comes in quite handy when you've had the car parked in a garage or along the street for a length of time. Other features include:
- has an inflator for your tires...
- powers and/or recharges 12volt DC appliances
- can jump start v-8 engines
Great item.
*wonderful item to carry along on those long road trips too.

this is a product that everyone should own. my husband usues his for lawn tractor when it won't start. it also works great if you have toys for the pool that need to be inflated,not to mention air mattresses. having this in the car could be a life saver if the car battery won't cooperate.starts in a couple of minutes and you don't need cables or another car.
try it you won't be sorry.

Prior to a camping trip, a friend put this in our camper and told us to take it, "just in case". Miles from an outlet, we used this to keep our phones charged and bike tires inflated. When it was time to leave, one SUV in our group had a dead battery (teen's kept the doors open so they could listen to music). They had parked in in a way that getting to the hood with another car would have been difficult. It was with skepticism well in placed, for an untried product, it was hooked up ("yes boys, the red goes on red, and black on black") and to the relief of parents and teens the SUV cranked over and fired up.
