| Customer Reviews: Stanley J309 300 Amp Jump Starter December 29, 2009 mavsimpson 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Awesome! Plenty of jump start power. Purchased 1 from Amazon & another from my local hardware store(same model). Used 4 times in the last few days on our fleet vehicles. Cars/trucks/vans...no problems. Charging is easy on this model, just plug it in with an ordinary household AC extension cord or use the DC adapter supplied. Also, this unit has an on/off switch. My old one didn't so the terminals were 'HOT' all the time. Life saver device, well worth the bucks!
Works great July 18, 2010 James (Baltimore, MD) I bought this jumper to jump my motorcycle. The battery goes dead every winter and I am not in an area where I would be able to keep the battery charged over the winter (I am forced to park the thing out on the street). Anyway, this jumper works great - I plugged it in, let it charge for a day (although I don't think it requires a full day to charge) and jumped my bike right up - the battery on my bike was completely dead prior to the jump. Very easy, no problems.
Won't start Sienna with dead battery August 17, 2010 Weeg (EP, MN) I bought two of these a couple months ago, and needed it today to start a Sienna with a dead battery. It was able to turn the engine over, but wouldn't start it. When I hooked up the second unit in parallel it started right up. The unit claims 600A peak, and the battery in the Sienna says it's 575 CCA, so one battery pack should have been suffient to cover the battery. But apparently not. If you cannot afford your jumper to fail when you need it, my advice is to find a beefier unit.
DID NOT WORK March 13, 2010 D. Berthold (Enfield, CT USA) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought this specifically to jump start my motorcycle... which is a pretty small 12 volt battery. I charged it for 24 hours as the instructions said... tried to start the bike and... Nothing. It might come in handy as a power source when I go camping to power a radio or something, but other than that it was a complete waste of money.. If it can't start a motorcycle, I highly doubt it will start a car, which is what I'm sure is what most people would buy it for.
